Last testing session at the Paul Ricard HTTT before the start of the new series

Over a dozen car met at the Paul Ricard HTTT today to start a two days test session on the 5,759 km 1 A-sc track solution to complete their last test before the launch of the new series with the first race taking place in Monza Italy on Mai 9th.

Great sunshine and light Mistral wind welcomed the teams, with air temperatures from 8C to 16C and track temperatures from 17C to 26C.

Todays teams at the Paul Ricard HTTT are well known endurance teams such as Audi UK Veloqx who did the fastest lap with Allan McNish and Audi Goh driven by Seiji Ara and Tom Kristensen, the wining team of the Le Mans 1000 km last November. Racing for Holland was also present with their wonderfull Dome and Team Pescarolo with the new Pescarolo Judd. Lister Racing, Delbello, Auto Palace, Creation, Nasamax, RML and Jota completed the list. Some of them arrived at the Paul Ricard HTTT with track experience, as they have prepared le Mans 24 Hours 2002 and/or 2003.

Pedro Lamy, at the wheel of the 'Formula X' (new series managed by Eric van de Poele, convertible from sportscar to single seater) discovered the track.

Former rally driver Colin McRae took the wheel of Team Care Racing's Ferrari 550 preparing his venue at the coming Le Mans 24 Hours.

This test session will be completed tomorrow, Wednesday April 7th.
