Tiago Monteiro and Bruno Senna 3rd in Algarve
Team Oreca out to conquer Portuguese round of the Le Mans Series
Tiago Monteiro and Bruno Senna will start from 3rd on the grid for the 1000 kilometers of Algarve when, after such a convincing qualifying session, the crew of the Portuguese and Brazilian drivers are in a good position to obtain a good result. The Portuguese round of the Le Mans series will be held this weekend on the superb motor-racing track in Portimao, where crews will race into the night from Saturday at 7 pm.
At the end of the qualifying session, Tiago declared that he was satisfied with the work done and the collective result of team Oreca Matmut AIM. "It went well and our result opens up a good outlook for the race. I'm delighted to share the car with Bruno and I'm also thrilled by the collective work and results of the team as Nicolas Lapierre and Olivier Panis secured pole position for Team Oreca. I can't wait to race for the first time on this splendid autodrom and I hope I'll give the fans good reasons to cheer. I hope there will be a lot of them for this great première in Portugal, a night race. All the ingredients of a fantastic show are definitely there."
For Saturday evening, the sky over Portimao should be clear with temperatures higher than 20o.C when the race begins. The event will be broadcasted live on Eurosport, at 7:00PM, however they will only show the first 90 minutes and will then return for the finish at 11:45PM through until 1:15AM (UK Time) on Sunday morning.
