United Autosports has further laid its foundations to a long and exciting sports-prototype programme in the future by being appointed the sole UK agent for French manufacturer Onroak Automotive.

The exciting association, announced this evening (15 Apr) on the eve of the opening round of the European Le Mans Series at Silverstone, is for Onroak Automotive’s LMP3 and CN sports-prototypes.

Onroak Automotive’s UK agency will be run from United Autosports’ impressive headquarters in Leeds, West Yorkshire, in the United Kingdom. Prospective and existing customers will now enjoy the convenience to be able to purchase Ligier’s LMP3 and CN sports-prototypes based in the UK at the same price as from the main factory at Magny Cours. The team will also offer a parts service with dedicated team personnel to liaise with customers. They will also offer a trackside support service to customers.

The Ligier JS P3 is eligible to race in a number of championships, including the brand new Prototype Cup, which will hold its inaugural race at Snetterton later this year (8-9 October). The Ligier JS P3 can also race in the European Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series, V de V Endurance Series and the Road to Le Mans, support race to the Le Mans 24 Hours.

This deal will not include the sale of the successful Ligier JS P2 sports car.

United Autosports will make its ELMS debut in the 4 Hours of Silverstone tomorrow (16 Apr) – the team’s maiden race with a brace of Ligier JS P3 sports cars.

Jacques Nicolet, President, Onroak Automotive: “I’m delighted to announce today this agreement with Zak Brown and Richard Dean with whom we share the same passion for motor racing. By appointing United Autosports as our official agent for Great Britain we’re formalising the extension of a relationship based on mutual trust. We’ve been convinced by their first-class professionalism, and we’ve seen that they know and appreciate our cars and our make. So we’re certain that satisfying our clients will be their priority - as it has always been for us.”

Richard Dean, Team Owner and Managing Director, United Autosports: “We have formed a great relationship with Onroak Automotive over the months we have worked with them on our ELMS project. Their attention to detail and customer service is second to none and we believe this deal will work for everyone involved. We want to bring prototype, specifically LMP3, racing into the UK so we are excited to be able to offer a more convenient way for UK-based teams to enter this great new category.”
