Toyo Tires 24h Dubai 2008 is booming

The third Toyo Tires 24h of Dubai is expected to be the most international 24h race held anywhere in the world.

With teams and drivers coming from all over the globe, 28 different countries are already represented; this unique diversity of nationalities will probably make this event the most international Twenty-four hour race to take place ever anywhere in the world.

More than 70 pre-registered entries

Even before the official entry has opened (1st of June 2007), the organization has already received more than 70 pre-registrations for this edition of the Toyo Tires 24h of Dubai 2008. That is again a new record, built on the success story of the first two 24h races held in the Dubai 2006& 2007. This year's starting grid will see at least 28 different nationalities. The most represented groups are expected to come from Germany, Holland and Belgium. Among the other 25 competing countries, we find drivers from as far away as Japan and Australia.

The Official entry is open as per 1st of June 2007

The Entry fee for Toyo Tires Dubai 24h 2008 race is 5.950 EURO this includes transportation of the car and a limited amount of equipment from The Netherlands to Dubai. The entry is limited to 80 cars and as you can see from the preliminary entry list - there are only very few places left.

Building the status of 24h Dubai Race into an internationally respected event

"We have achieved a remarkable step forward in building this race into a well known and respected International 24h event" said Gerrie Willems the Event Organizer and Promoter. To see that over 75% of the teams are eager to participate again and again is the best publicity we can have. Additional we see new teams coming from all over the world. Having so many different nationalities is of course one of the key success factors of 24h Dubai. The planning and preparation of such event takes several years and we are of the opinion that it is becoming better and better with each passing year. Both previous events have given us the basis to build upon and make this event into a world class International 24 hour race. We fully expect the maximum number of 80 cars to start in this year's event. All the right ingredients are in place for the ultimate team challenge. Teams will be thrilled about the challenging 5.39km Grand Prix Circuit. The new track design features cutting edge features, rendering it a technically complex and exciting circuit to drive and making it a challenge for drives and teams alike. Complementing the track are the facilities - all F1 - specification including 36 ultra-modern, spacious air-conditioned pit boxes. And of course in Dubai there's something else you can nearly always rely on: the weather. January offers ideal racing conditions at the Dubai Aerodrome with temperatures hovering around 20 - 25?C. Whether it's for race meetings, holidays in the sun, or for business trips. Booming Dubai is the place to be. And with the Toyo Tires 24hr Dubai race held at the 10-11- 12th of January 2008, it's the perfect time for fans and sponsors alike to catch some winter sun and combine a 6-day holiday while enjoying the race. Dubai is only a 6-hour flight from Europe and provides the perfect backdrop to a corporate event or holiday with it relaxed environment and friendly people.
