Third generation racers Matt Brabham and Aaron Seton will team up with Aussie Touring Car legend Tony Longhurst for next year’s Bathurst 12 Hour.

Brabham and Seton will drive Longhurst’s brand new BMW M4 GT4 at next year’s Mount Panorama race, combining two of Australia’s most renowned motor racing families.

Former factory BMW driver Longhurst may also drive the car, but will wait until he’s tested the M4 before making a final decision.

It will be Brabham’s 12 Hour debut, and comes 21 years after father Geoff and uncle David won the Bathurst 1000 for BMW.

“I am looking forward to having my first outing at Mount Panorama and this is a terrific way to do it,” said Brabham.

“Given Dad’s history with BMW at Bathurst and professionally, it is also nice to be making my debut there with the German marque.

“It would be terrific to get a solid result on debut and use that to springboard myself into more opportunities in Australia, the US, Asia and Europe.”

Seton, son of 1997 Australian Touring Car Champ Glenn Seton, has started the last two 12 Hours in the Invitational class.

“The Seton family has a little bit of unfinished business at Bathurst and it would be nice to get a solid result in the Boat Works BMW GT4 in February,” said Seton.

“It is also cool to have the Brabham, Seton and Longhurst names together.

“I have known Matt for a long time and he has built some strong international experience which I am sure will be extremely valuable for the team.”
