"That has been a great season opening in this new year“, the 31 year old was happy, who came to his adoption in the desert at short notice. Right back from test drives in the USA he got the message to be on start in Dubai.

"Usually I would be on winter holidays in Austria at the moment with my wife Annette and my daughter Lucie, but now I had to schedule my departure for Sunday. Anyway, the race in Dubai was great fun“, Stefan Mücke said.

The Berlin was able to start the new year as successful as he finished the last one with a "perfect season ending“, when he got the first win in the GTE Pro class together with Darren Turner at the end of October in the Aston Martin Vantage GTE at the eighth and last season event of the new long track world championships WEC in Shanghai (China).

Same time he was vice world champion with the Aston Martin Racing Team. And at the beginning of December he was rewarded as motorsports person of the year by the ADAC Berlin and Brandenburg.

"The race in Dubai was very interesting. We were on position eight at one point because of small technical problems“, Stefan Mücke told, who had the fastest lap time in the field of altogether 80 race cars with 1:59,472 minutes.

Especially at his long night adoption, the Berlin made up many positions, because partially he was two to four seconds faster than the competitors.

Winner of the race in Dubai was the Team Abu Dhabi by Black Falcon 1 (Unites Arab Emirates/UAE) with Khaled Al Qubaisi (UAE), the former DTM-Champion Bernd Schneider (Germany), Jeroen Bleekemolen (Netherlands) and the British Sean Edwards behind the wheel of a Mercedes SLS AMG GT3.

Second was the Team AF Corse SRL 2, whose Ferrari 458 Italia GT3 was driven by Lorenzo Carvalho (Brasil), Lorenzo Case, Marco Cioci (both Italy) and the Finnish Ex Formula 1 driver Mika Salo.
