Norris confirmed at Carlin for full F3 season in 2017
Rising British star Lando Norris has officially joined Carlin for the 2017 European Formula 3 season.

The 17-year-old will graduate to F3 full-time in 2017, having won two Formula Renault 2.0 (NEC and Eurocup) titles earlier this year to go with his Toyota Racing Series championship.
Norris will reunite with the British squad Carlin, with which he won the MSA Formula title in 2015 and also took four wins in 11 outings in the BRDC Formula 3 series this year.
He later made his European F3 debut at Hockenheim with Carlin and also competed in the Macau Grand Prix, finishing 11th in the main race from 27th on the grid.
“I’m very happy to be driving for Carlin in 2017. Next season marks my third season racing for them," said Norris.
"The guys in the team are great, we enjoy spending time together, we all get along very well and importantly I believe they are the right team for my first season in the FIA Formula 3 European Championship.
"It's a very competitive series but I'm sure that I have the right package to challenge for the title, having shown good pace at Hockenheim and Macau."
Team boss Trevor Carlin added: "We are very pleased and proud that Lando and his management have chosen to stay with the team for a third season, and I’d like to thank them for the trust they’ve placed in our FIA F3 team after two very promising outings in Hockenheim and Macau.
"Lando is an incredibly exciting young driver and has already shown in his short career his talent, dedication and work ethic.
"We very much look forward to working with him again in 2017 and showing what we can achieve together in FIA F3."
At Carlin, 2016 McLaren Autosport BRDC award winner Norris will be reunited with his Josef Kaufmann Racing teammate Jehan Daruvala, as well as Formula Renault 2.0 rival Ferdinand Habsburg, both of whom were announced earlier this month.
