Soori, 16, makes the move on the heels of a rookie Euroformula Open campaign with Carlin last year, in which he finished 12th overall, with a best result of fifth place.

He made his debut in European F3-spec machinery in the Macau Grand Prix with Mucke, taking 18th place.

The German was a regular on the American junior single-seater scene in the years prior, as he won the Skip Barber Winter Series and contested two seasons in Road to Indy's USF2000 championship.

"I’m really excited to start in the 2017 FIA Formula 3 European Championship,” Soori said. “My goal is to win the rookie championship, but I know this year is going to be a tough one.

"The most important thing is to improve myself as a driver and my new team Motopark has everything I need to do so."

Soori is the second driver named to Motopark's F3 line-up, joining BMW protege Joel Eriksson - who was the series' top rookie last year.

The Swede raced alongside three F1 juniors - Red Bull pairing Niko Kari and Sergio Sette Camara and Ferrari's Guan Yu Zhou - at Motopark in 2016, with Eriksson and Kari bagging a race win each for the German outfit.
