The 2025 FIA Awards Ceremony is set to take place on Friday 12 December in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

McLaren's Lando Norris, who on Sunday became the 35th driver to be crowned world champion after finishing third in the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, will finally collect his trophy along with many others from championships under the FIA.

What is the FIA Awards Ceremony?

The FIA Awards Ceremony is an annual event that honours the achievements of all FIA champions from that year, including those from Formula 1, the World Rally Championship, the World Endurance Championship, Formula E and karting. It includes special awards such as Action of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Outstanding Official and the FIA President's Awards.

Having previously been held in Monte Carlo, New Delhi, Istanbul, Paris, Doha, Vienna, Versailles, Saint Petersburg, Geneva, Bologna, Baku and Kigali, the event heads to Tashkent, Uzbekistan for 2025.

In 2025, the FIA President's Awards, which "recognise and celebrate the excellence, creativity, and positive community impact of FIA Member Clubs around the world," feature two new categories - Excellence in Communication and National Motorsport Achievement.

The Excellence in Communication Award was won by the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) for its "national advocacy campaign defending Americans' right to choose internal combustion, hybrid or electric vehicles."

The National Motorsport Achievement Award has been awarded to Svenska Bilsportförbundet (SBF) for the 'Biodiversity and Motorsport – Racing for Nature' project.

"I launched the new FIA President’s Awards to champion the remarkable dedication, vision, and leadership of our Members," FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem said. "Their innovation is an inspiration to us all and I was proud to see such a growth in submissions from every region around the world. 

"Congratulations to SEMA and CEO Mike Spagnola, and SBF, President Jessica Bjurström and FIA Vice-President Anna Nordkvist on their success, and thank you to all Members that shared their submissions, it was an honour to witness the amazing work happening globally within the FIA community."
