The 2017 F1 season could hardly have come to a better conclusion for Valtteri Bottas in Abu Dhabi.

Having endured a shaky period in the second half of the year, a fortnight ago Bottas was faced with the frustration of losing out to Sebastian Vettel in Brazil, having done the difficult bit and earned pole.
