Caldarelli sets the pace in Vallelunga F1 test
It was a great day today at Vallelunga for Andrea Caldarelli. The Italian racer ended up as the fastest man on-track aboard a Formula 1 Ferrari F2008, bea- ting the fellow top-3 drivers from the 2010 Italian Formula 3 Championship. All drivers had the chance to drive on dry conditions, with a temperature of appro- ximately 12o.C. Caldarelli successfully completed the work scheduled by the Maranello-based team, impressing the Italian squad as well as representatives from his Nation's racing Federation, CSAI.

"I'm delighted to have had the chance and drive the F1 Ferrari F2008. I had
already driven a Formula 1 car when I was a test-driver at Toyota, but running
on a Ferrari is a dream come true for an Italian driver. I hope to repeat such a
great experience in the future, yet I want to thank the Italian Federation to have
provided this outstanding prize drive, and Ferrari for making this possible. I
really got along well with the team that followed me today. A Formula 1 car
gives you a fantastic feeling, enabling drivers to find - and break - human and
technical limits lap after lap".
