Aston Martin will unveil its AMR25 car on 23 February in an online launch, a day before it gets its first on-track run at Bahrain.

This will follow the team's livery reveal at F1's 75th anniversary launch event at London’s O2 Arena on 18 February, and imagery will be released across Aston Martin's media profiles.

Both Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll will then drive the 2025 car in a filming day at the Bahrain International Circuit, two days before pre-season testing begins in earnest at the venue.

The AMR25 will be the fifth car launched by the team since it took the Aston Martin branding, following its short stint as Racing Point when Lawrence Stroll took over the team from Vijay Mallya in 2018.

Following the team's heady ascent up the pecking order in 2023, when it managed to score podiums with some regularity across the year in a car that showed great race pace, 2024 brought the team back to earth.

Its AMR24 showed promise at the start of the year, particularly in qualifying, but a series of upgrades failed to produce any tangible performance gains throughout the year.

Form in the early season ensured that Aston Martin could retain fifth in the championship, but it did not score any top three results all season as a draggy package hindered it across the year.

This led to a series of shuffles behind closed doors, leading to the removal of Dan Fallows from his technical director role and the signing of Enrico Cardile from Ferrari to serve as chief technical officer.

Adrian Newey was Aston’s highest-profile signing as the team lured the revered designer from Red Bull, but he does not start work at the Silverstone outfit until 1 March.

The team has also undergone a reshuffle on the race-day front, as CEO Andy Cowell will double up as team principal and Mike Krack has been moved to a chief trackside officer role. Performance director Tom McCullough has also been given an unspecified new role.
