MANY ACTIVE F1 DRIVERS TO SIGN AUTOGRAPHS AT USGP PIT WALKABOUT

Current Formula One drivers will sign autographs during the United States Grand Prix pit walkabout at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Thursday, June 17.

Drivers will sign autographs at various times between 11 a.m.-noon (EST, local time) in the Pagoda Plaza, located behind the Bombardier Pagoda control tower, and on pit lane. The only exception to the 11 a.m.-noon schedule is Nick Heidfeld and Giorgio Pantano of the Jordan Ford team, who will sign at 1:30 p.m.

Other full-time 2004 F1 drivers scheduled to sign autographs in the Pagoda Plaza include: Juan Pablo Montoya and Ralf Schumacher of BMW WilliamsF1 Team; Jarno Trulli and Fernando Alonso of Mild Seven Renault F1 Team; Jenson Button and Takuma Sato of Lucky Strike BAR Honda; Christian Klien of Jaguar Racing; Cristiano da Matta and Olivier Panis of Panasonic Toyota Racing; and Gianmaria Bruni and Zsolt Baumgartner of Wilux Minardi Cosworth.

Sauber Petronas teammates Giancarlo Fisichella and Felipe Massa will sign autographs from 11:30 a.m.-noon, but will sign on pit lane in front of the team's garage.

Several team test drivers also will sign autographs in the Pagoda Plaza for a selected time between 11 a.m.-noon: Anthony Davidson of Lucky Strike BAR Honda, Bjorn Wirdheim of Jaguar Racing and Ricardo Zonta of Panasonic Toyota Racing.

Several popular former Formula One drivers are also scheduled to sign autographs in the Pagoda Plaza. Danny Sullivan, Stefan Johansson and Derek Daly are scheduled to start signing autographs at 10:15 a.m. Phil Hill, the 1961 Formula One World Champion, will sign autographs from 10:30-11:15 a.m. and Mario Andretti, the 1978 World Champion, will sign from 11:15-noon. Hill and Andretti are the only American F1 World Champions.

The pit walkabout is open to all 2004 USGP Race Day ticket holders and will take place from 8 a.m.-noon (EST, local time). United States Grand Prix ticket holders must display their race ticket for admission to the walkabout. No separate walkabout passes will be issued.

The IMS ticket office will be open at 7 a.m. Thursday for fans interested in purchasing race tickets and gaining access to the walkabout. The ticket office's hours on track activity days are 7 a.m.-6 p.m. June 17-19 and 6 a.m.-noon on Race Day, June 20.
