Lucky Strike B.A.R Honda ran two BAR004s and one BAR003 during their second day of testing today. An engine problem during the morning session limited the amount of laps Olivier Panis was able to complete but during the afternoon session he was able to run 29 laps, his fastest time a 1.15.14. Jacques Villeneuve posted the fourth fastest time during the morning session, completing a total of 52 laps at the end of running. On both BAR004s the focus was on suspension and diff work, with Jacques also completing some tyre testing for Bridgestone. In the BAR003, Anthony ran a damper development programme, his fastest time a 1.14.84.

Jacques Villeneuve:
"We're slightly more competitive again this test. The car was working well and the chassis felt fine. There were a lot of red flags today though, so it was hard to do much proper work. We also had some mechanical and engine problems in the afternoon, which limited us as well."

Olivier Panis:
"Again, testing has proved to be extremely frustrating. In fact the past two days I've had my fair share of problems, which have hampered my possibilities to exploit the car to its full potential. We are all still working very hard though and I hope to have a bit more luck in the next 3 days in order to complete as many miles as possible and continue the development work as it should be."

Anthony Davidson:
"I put in some good times today but we didn't get as much running in as we would have liked.
