Jacques Villeneuve:
"It was a very boring race from my perspective. The car had terrible understeer today and I don't know why. We had oversteer all weekend, mostly on old tyres, and yet today, the car was only good after 25 laps. I'm disappointed because it was a wasted day. We raced hard the whole time, but were just out of the points. As for Barrichello, I just tried to drive without making mistakes and he was never able to get close enough to attempt a passing manoeuvre."

Ricardo Zonta:
"I was fighting the car the whole race and couldn't really make any progress, so I just concentrated on trying to be consistent. It's possible we put on too much downforce for the race and therefore were not fast enough down the straights. I'm pleased to have finished the race because it shows the car is reliable, but disappointed we didn't achieve a better result. Near the end of the race, I saw Schumacher and Hakkinen in my mirrors as I was going through Eau Rouge, so I slowed on the following straight and just stayed to the middle of the track to give them room. It was an amazing view as they went past either side of my car."

Craig Pollock:
"Having to watch this race from my sickbed was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had because it was very difficult to follow what was happening with the information available. It's great that both cars finished, but I was really hoping we'd get some more points today. There was obviously some excellent teamwork on the pit stops, for which the whole crew deserves congratulations. It's clear, however, that our car needs to improve further if we are to beat our nearest rivals."
