Programme: The BMW Sauber F1 Team spent a very productive test day with good, clear results. Nick Heidfeld started in the morning with set-up and aero work and then tested different tyre compounds for next weeks grand prix in Hockenheim. In the afternoon he continued with set-up work and also did test work on brakes.
Robert Kubica tested a new front wing in the morning and then switched to an evaluation programme with different tyre compounds for the Turkish Grand Prix, which takes place in Istanbul at the end of August. In the afternoon Robert carried out a tyre testing programme for Michelin.
What comes next: For tomorrow, Friday, the third and final day of testing in Jerez, Robert and Jacques Villeneuve will share driving duties.
