Weather : Sunny and dry track Temperature: Air 26 - Track 37

Chassis Numbers: Car No.9 - Giancarlo Fisichella - Mild Seven Benetton Playlife B199 07 Car No.10 - Alexander Wurz - Mild Seven Benetton Playlife B199 05

The team used a strategy based on two pit-stops like all the other teams. The set-up problems that were evident in practice were partially resolved.

Giancarlo Fisichella : 7th "In the race the car went better than it had in practice and the set-up was a lot better after the second pit-stop. The problems with balance remain and we still have a lot of work to do to be as competitive as we want to be."

Alexander Wurz : 10th "I did a great start the first time round and an OK one the second time. It was a tough race and I had a good fight throughout. The circuit conditions were bad and we had really low grip, but it seems that a lot of teams suffered from this. We just need to work more on our qualifying performance."

Rocco Benetton : "I am pretty happy with the result today even if it was a strange day with many different occurrences in the race. Both drivers showed maximum aggressivity and raced strongly right to the end and the team did really well with the pit stops as we gained a few positions each time. Now we must concentrate on improving our performance on Saturday so we can really race for points. Most importantly we all send our best wishes to Michael and hope he is well."
