After last weekend's dramatic race, the Renault F1 Team drivers are carrying on as they began -- with a busy week!
As soon as the final glass of champagne had been emptied and the black tie packed safely away, the Renault F1 Team drivers have barely had time to breathe. For Jarno Trulli and Fernando Alonso, the week will be full of activities... including the small matter of a Grand Prix!
Yesterday, Fernando arrived in Madrid to attend the Motor Show and the world debut of the Renault Modus. "I love road cars," explained the Spaniard. "I enjoyed taking a look at the cars here and seeing the new models, all the things I have seen in the magazines. I think I was born to sit behind a steering wheel!"
As for Jarno, he will be visiting Renault's Sandouville factory south-west of Dieppe today, where the Laguna, Vel Satis and Espace are manufactured. Then tomorrow, he will visit Renault's facilities at Lardy, home of the company's safety research centre.
"As Flavio has said, the win last weekend wasn't just a win for the Renault F1 Team, but for the whole group," explained the Italian. "We drivers don't think of ourselves as special individuals, but as employees of a very big company. Visits like this aren't a chore: they are an opportunity to say thank you to our supporters."
Jarno's week will conclude with a trip to Germany, with his first stop at the Champions' League Final at Gelsenkirchen, to watch FC Porto against AS Monaco. Then he will head to the N?rburgring on Thursday.
