Weather : Clear sunny sky, dry track Temperature: Air 29 - Track 46

Chassis Numbers: Car No. 9 - Giancarlo Fisichella - Mild Seven Benetton Playlife B199 06 Car No.10 - Alexander Wurz - Mild Seven Benetton Playlife B199 05

Second Timed Session: 6th - 1:20.162 - Giancarlo Fisichella 14th - 1:20.919 - Alexander Wurz

Giancarlo Fisichella managed only one flying lap and during the second attempt went off the track into the wall causing a slight contusion to his right knee. Alexander Wurz was slowed down by yellow flags on his last laps.

Giancarlo Fisichella: 7 th - 1'20.378 "My first run wasn't perfect but the car set-up felt good so I planned to make no modifications for my next run. Unfortunately on my second attempt I came out too wide on one of the corners into some dirt and I skidded into the wall. The team had the spare car ready in the pits, but I didn't have time to get back for it. My right knee hurts a bit, but I don't think it is anything serious. It is a shame as I was happy with the set-up and know I could have gone faster."

Alexander Wurz: 11th - 1'21.000 "Eleventh position is not a great result. I am quite annoyed as on both my second and third runs I had yellow flags, so I lost both laps. Our tactic was very good as we planned to run two flying laps back to back, but unfortunately because of the flags I lost both opportunities."

Pat Symonds, Technical Director: "This was a much better result than the last race, but still not good enough to satisfy us. However, the new set up direction that the engineers have taken since Barcelona appears to be a better one. I believe we have qualified in positions that will allow us to race for points tomorrow."
