Pedro Diniz:
After running over the kerb in the last corner this morning I took over the spare car for qualifying, but still lack of traction was my biggest problem. On my last run I made a mistake and got a little bit too sideways in the first corner. That’s really frustrating with the times being so close, because right there and then I lost three tenths of a second…

Mika Salo:
A couple of times I locked the rear wheels under downshifts for the hairpins, which cost me a little bit of time. I also still had too much wheelspin because of a small problem with the engine’s driveability here, but the RED BULL SAUBER PETRONAS C19 felt really good this morning, so 15th is a disappointment. As I suspected yesterday, getting a clear lap was the hardest part of the afternoon.

Peter Sauber:
I’m really disappointed. For Pedro to be 19th and Mika only 15th, I cannot be anything else. Before qualifying I thought that we could remain in the top 10, and that should still have been possible this afternoon.
