I have noticed a lot of people interested in attending the Canadian GP (probably because it is the least costly of GPs for seats). Last week I had the 1996 prices faxed to me.

Golds: Located along the start/finish straight. Grandstands 1-3 with 1 being at the line and 3 being closer to turn 13. There is a giant screen visible from these seats. They are being sold in 3-day packages only for $295 CAD.

Silvers: Located at turns 1 and 2 (Virage Senna) as well at the hairpin (turn 10). Grandstands 11 and 12 are at turns 1 and 2; 21 is along the braking zone of the approach to the hairpin; 15 is at the far end of the hairpin (one can see cars coming and going from here); and 24 is located on the exit from the hairpin (directly across from 21). There are giant screens visible for all these locations. They are being sold in 3-day packages only, for $250 CAD.

Bronzes: Located at turns 6 and 7 (with 5 in sight); 8 and 9 and along the straight after the hairpin as well as one section facing into the hairpin. Grandstand 33 is at turns 6 and 7; 31 is at turns 8 and 9; 34 straddles the hairpin and the big screen viewable from the silvers is just behind this stand (if in the lower rows it is viewable); 22 is on the outside of the track across from 34 and just down from silver #24, if one gets tickets in sections 1 or 2 of this stand the big screen behind #34 can be seen; 35, new for 1996, is across from 22, on the inside of the track. Tickets for these grandstands are being sold in 3-day and single day packages. The 3-day is $135 CAD, Sunday only is $85 CAD, Saturday only is $60 CAD and Friday only is $50 CAD.

General Admission (Greens): There are various places around the track where GA's can sit. There are spots on either side of the hairpin; between grandstands 24 and 22, on the inside of the track along the new Casino Straight (where the tempo chicane was in 94 and 95), along the outside of the straight between turn 9 and the haripin, and other places that I am unsure of (I have been to those that I mentioned). And only early birds get a spot at the hairpin. These are offered in 3-day and single day packages. The three day is $60 CAD, Sunday $40 CAD, Saturday $30 CAD and Friday $20 CAD.

All tickets have a $4 service charge and the orders have a $5 postage and handling fee.

The telephone number is area code 514, 392-0000 and the fax number is 397-8299.

I know that there is uncertainty about Friday F1 events, but I am assuming that if F1 will indeed be a Saturday and Sunday only event that there will be support events on Friday.
