Ferrari Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc has taken delivery of an incredible new superyacht following the Miami Grand Prix, which is estimated to be worth £15million ($20million).

The Monegasque driver attended an exclusive ceremony with his wife, Alexandra, at Riva's La Spezia shipyard to officially launch their bespoke vessel on 7 May.

The event has already gone viral on social media after footage was shared of Alexandra performing the traditional honour of smashing a champagne bottle against the bow of the Riva 102' Corsaro Super. At the time of writing, the video shared by Riva had amassed over 49,000 likes and had been viewed 586,000 times.

Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi said: "Charles’s passion for Riva, which is of course reciprocal, is a testament to quality and beauty that we welcome with boundless joy. If such a formidable driver and icon of style and elegance chooses once again one of our boats, it means that Riva, and in this case the magnificent 102’ Corsaro Super, offers unrivalled standards of beauty, liveability and technology.

"Many thanks once again Charles, have fun and enjoy the water on your new Riva!"

The Riva 102' Corsaro Super is powered by twin 2638-horsepower MTU engines. It can reach a top speed of 28 knots, boasts a cruising speed of 24 knots, and features state-of-the-art stabilisation technology.

Leclerc's new superyacht features a sleek silhouette and various customised details. The living spaces are furnished with Poliform furnishings, Frette luxury linens, Christofle tableware and bespoke door handles. The master suite is finished with polished Calacatta Vagli Oro marble and a premium Bang & Olufsen multimedia system.

Outside, the flybridge hosts a bespoke open-air galley with an oversized grill, induction hob and ice maker. There is also a 35-square-metre beach club with direct access to the sea.
