A date of September 28th has been set for the appeal hearing of the seven Michelin teams in regard to the guilty verdicts given by the World Motor Sport Council (WMSC) after Indianapolis. The teams were found guilty of not having suitable tyres for the US Grand Prix and of wrongly refusing to start the race. They were cleared on three other charges.

Red Bull, which initially did not appeal and said it was considering its options, has now joined the other six, which are McLaren, Williams, BAR, Renault, Toyota and Sauber.

The teams asked for a hearing date that would permit the International Court of Appeal to rule on possible appeals that may be lodged against any decisions made by the WMSC meeting on September 14th.

That is the meeting in which it will be judged if the teams and Michelin have satisfactorily compensated the Indy spectators and taken steps to ensure such a situation does not happen again. The FIA suspended punishment to the teams to give them time to make amends.

The teams' appeal hearing will be held in Paris and a decision is expected the following day, Thursday 29th September.
