MERCEDES GP PETRONAS and Deutsche Post are pleased to announce a new partnership between the team and the German communications company starting from the Monaco Grand Prix in Monte Carlo this weekend.

Mercedes-Benz and the MERCEDES GP PETRONAS team will be supporting Deutsche Post's new 'Online Letter' initiative and will be making use of this new method of online communication in their day-to-day business operations.

The famous 'Post Horn', the icon of Deutsche Post, will feature on the chassis and front wings of the MGP W01 cars of Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg from this weekend's prestigious Monaco Grand Prix.

Jürgen Gerdes, Member of the Board BRIEF und PAKET Deutschland of Deutsche Post said: "The partnership with Daimler and their premium car brand Mercedes-Benz is a perfect match for Deutsche Post and its targets. Formula One requires a spirit of competition, innovation, fast reactions and successful learning processes at racing speed. All of this fits to our targets in everyday business. And of course, we not only want to be successful together on the race track, but use our involvement in the important platform of sport for the communication of our new premium services."

Nick Fry, Chief Executive Officer MERCEDES GP PETRONAS commented: "We are very pleased to welcome Deutsche Post to MERCEDES GP PETRONAS and to feature the 'Post Horn' logo on our MGP W01 cars from the Monaco Grand Prix onwards. The team has been very successful in attracting new partners over the past months and Deutsche Post is a very welcome addition. We look forward to developing our relationship further over the coming months."

Norbert Haug, Vice President Mercedes-Benz Motorsport said: "We are delighted with our partnership and I would like to say this on behalf of our whole company. Deutsche Post is a company of high reputation which fits perfectly to our values. With its commitment to the highest levels of motorsport, Deutsche Post demonstrates its desire to be dynamic, to learn fast and to enhance its growth as a company. I am convinced that business relations between our two companies will develop further and beyond our current sponsor partnerships."
