European GP Arrows Saturday notes

Following this morning's eventful practice session when neither Pedro de la Rosa or Jos Verstappen were able to complete any significant number of laps, both drivers qualified well for the grid, with Pedro in 12th position and Jos in 14th.

"It was a typical Nurburgring day and like last year the track just dries so quickly. I think we did a good job to get on the track so close to the end of the session as the track was getting better and better towards the last seconds of the session. The engineer did a great job to get that timing right. The car was good during the whole session and it was a timing thing - just get the right lap at the right moment. I still think the track was at its best just before it started raining and we missed that, but anyway, 12th position is not that bad here".

"Considering the very few laps we have done today we should be quite pleased with what we have achieved in qualifying. The tyre choice was difficult for us, but for the race I think we look okay. The car has been handling quite well and the mechanics did a superb job to change the engine between practice session, so I could do another run at the end of practice this morning. Overall it went quite well".
