Nico Hulkenberg's first F1 podium

Nico Hulkenberg endured a chaotic wet-weather British Grand Prix to drive from 19th on the grid to third, claiming his first F1 podium. Having set the record for the longest time before finishing on the podium at 5593 days, the German driver was understandably emotional about reaching the milestone.

"It's been an emotional roller coaster this weekend, being virtually last [on Saturday], so a pretty bad day to one of the best days of my career - it's obviously a lot to take in," he said after the race.

"That race was intense, with all the changes of conditions, it was sketchy," he added. "A high-speed track with changeable conditions is never easy.

"While I'm happy and relieved, I'm mostly tired, and looking forward to getting home, to be honest."

Lando Norris's first F1 drivers' championship title

Lando Norris secured his first F1 drivers' championship title in 2025. Having been fighting his McLaren team-mate for the majority of the season, a late surge from Red Bull's Verstappen posed a threat to the Briton's title challenge.

The championship went down to the season finale at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. While Verstappen won the race, Norris's third-place finish was enough to claim the title with two points over the Dutchman.

"Oh God, I have not cried in a while," Norris said directly after the title-decider. "I didn't think I would cry but I did.

"It has been a long journey. I want to thank my guys, everyone at McLaren, my parents, my mum, my dad, they are the ones who have supported me since the beginning."
