Early sale tickets for the 2026 Mexico Grand Prix have already sold out in the Banamex Presale, Banorte Early Sale phases and general sale.

As a result of the high demand, the Mexico Grand Prix organisers are offering those who have already purchased tickets for next year's event the opportunity to use the First Choice Right service, which will allow them to purchase the same seat for the 2027 and 2028 races when sales for those events open.

A leading force in the sales is likely the return of Mexican driver Sergio Perez. After losing his seat at Red Bull at the end of 2024, the 35-year-old has signed with Cadillac, which is set to make its Formula 1 debut in 2026. Perez will drive alongside former Mercedes and Sauber driver Valtteri Bottas.

The 2026 Mexico Grand Prix will take place 30 October-1 November.

This also comes after a successful 2025 Mexico Grand Prix, in which McLaren's Lando Norris secured his first win at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez from pole position. The McLaren driver was joined on the podium by Ferrari's Charles Leclerc in second and Red Bull's Max Verstappen in third.

Discussing the championship fight, the Briton added: "It's one weekend at a time. I'm happy, I'm focused on myself. I keep my head down, I ignore all of this [booing], keep to myself. It's working at the minute, so I'm happy."

The Mexico Grand Prix signed a contract extension in April 2025 to remain on the Formula 1 calendar until 2028 as part of a new three-year deal starting from 2026.

Stefano Domenicali, president & CEO of Formula 1, said: “We are very excited to announce that the Mexico City Grand Prix will continue to be part of our calendar until 2028. Formula 1 is energy, passion and emotion, and every year the unique atmosphere created by our fans in Mexico City is one of the most incredible and energetic experiences of our championship.

“I want to express my sincere thanks to President Claudia Sheinbaum for her strong commitment to Formula 1, to the Head of Government Clara Brugada for her continued support and to Alejandro Soberón Kuri, whose leadership has been fundamental to the success of this event. I also want to thank the local stakeholders and businesses that share our vision and who make this event so special.

“We look forward to continuing this extraordinary collaboration together and seeing the incredible enthusiasm of the Mexican fans again in October.”
