Ferrari F1 fans love the 2026 race suit, but one detail is causing a stir

Ferrari’s new 2026 Formula 1 race suits retain the classic red but introduce heavier white accents

Ferrari has revealed its race suits for the 2026 Formula 1 season. Drivers Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc revealed the new design in a video posted to the Scuderia team's YouTube channel.

The new suits retain much of Ferrari's traditional red base, but this time there's heavier white accenting, especially around the shoulders, neckline, sides of the torso and down the leg. White lines also break up the panels of the race suit between the chest and shoulder areas thanks to the removal of the horizontal stripe from the previous year.

While the Italian outfit is looking ahead to the change in regulations this year, its race suit design reminds this writer of its 2007 race suit worn by Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa.

Sponsor logos are also pulled tighter to the top of the chest area while the prancing horse logo of the marque remains on the chest opposite the contrasting blue of the title sponsor, Hewlett-Packard.

This new look will likely be carried through Ferrari personnel and merchandising, as well as the new livery of the SF-26, to be revealed on 23 January.

"Take my money, my portfolio and whatever you want. I need one of these RIGHT NOW," one fan wrote in response to the video. Another added: "I actually like the suits, the white is nice. I hate that the shoes are a different colour though, they literally look like clown shoes."

One feature drew attention, however, and that's the blue of the HP logo - something that's been a running point of conversation for fans.

"HP needs to drop the blue please," a commenter said. "If the logo isn’t white on the car I’m telling everyone I know and ever meet to never buy, search or have anything to do with HP ever," a second wrote. "You wanted negative press well here it is. Why are you OK with a matching logo on Real Madrid but not Ferrari???"

This video comes only moments after WHOOP was confirmed as the team's official health and fitness wearable partner. The company's devices will be worn by members of the team, allowing them to continuously monitor their physical health and wellbeing.
