Fourth day of testing for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro at the Fiorano circuit. Once again today, Luca Badoer and Michael Schumacher were driving. The two drivers continued with development work on new prototype components which will be used on next year's car and also did a tyre test programme. Part of the session was carried out on an artificially watered track.

In addition, in collaboration with FIA, they carried out experiments with a radar system designed to show up the distance on the track between two cars as well as a system of indicating when a car is slowing down.

The day began at 10h00 and work ended at 18h30. Schumacher left Maranello at lunchtime, having completed 63 laps (16 on the short course.) His best lap was a 59.033. Badoer ran off 88 laps (10 on the short course, with a best time of 1.06.855 on intermediate tyres.)

Luca Badoer continues testing tomorrow.
