Ferrari Mugello/Monza test notes 2004-04-29

Third day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro at the Mugello circuit. Rubens Barrichello took to the track today, at the wheel of an F2004. The Brazilian driver continued with the Bridgestone tyre test programme aimed at the coming races.

Barrichello completed a total of 48 laps, seven of them on the short version of the track, with a best time on the day of 1:20.896. The Scuderia continues testing at this circuit tomorrow, once again with Rubens Barrichello on track.

Third and final day of testing for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro at the Monza circuit. Luca Badoer was in action once again today, with an F2004 at his disposal. The technical programme for the session centred on Bridgestone tyre development for the forthcoming races.

Testing ended ahead of schedule when the car went off the track at the Curva Grande, the incident provoked by the fact the track was slippery after a light shower. The driver was uninjured, but the car was damaged and taken back to Maranello so it could be repaired. Up to that moment, Badoer had completed 26 laps, with a best time of 1:21.626.
