Melbourne, 5th March - After a well deserved night's rest, Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro is back at work today. Engineers and mechanics are currently at the Albert Park circuit, rebuilding the two cars used in the race yesterday by Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello, chassis 208 and 206 respectively.

The third car (chassis 209) was sent back to Italy last night and it will be used at a test session by Rubens Barrichello on Thursday and Friday at Fiorano.

A good part of the team will stay in Australia prior to heading for Kuala Lumpur which hosts round two of the championship, the Malaysian Grand Prix on 18thMarch. Michael Schumacher will not be returning to Europe.

Ferrari can take satisfaction, not just from the brilliant result obtained, but also for the reliability demonstrated by the F2001 in the Australian Grand Prix. For this the successor to the F1-2000 the event was its first real long run test of the season. Not only did two cars manage the feat, but also they both performed well. The Bridgestone tyres also proved themselves reliable and consistent for all 58 laps of the race.

The test team will already be in action tomorrow at Fiorano for two days of testing with Luca Badoer at the wheel of an F1-2000.
