Fans with FOTA
Silverstone, 19th June 2009 - Since the early hours of the morning Formula 1 fans from all over the world are logging in to the Ferrari website leaving their comments in the forum and sending emails to support the decision of the teams and the FOTA to organise an alternative Championship. The FOTA's website and the most important forums in the world are equally filled with the fans' comments.
The reactions are more than enthusiastic: "We won, Formula 1 has won, the real Formula 1, FOTA's F1", one fan wrote this morning. There are also numerous fans from the USA sending messages of support: "Thank you for the new Championship - today is a happy day for millions of fans all over the world. Please come back to the US!" Fans from Germany, Spain and England are sending us similar messages. One fan was even worried about Ecclestone's dog: "Didn't Ecclestone's dog eat the FOTA press releases? .must have given him indigestion." The fans also noticed that they are mentioned in the FOTA press release: "Finally someone is also taking us into account instead of spending time arguing and concentrating on their own agenda."
Now everybody is waiting for the publication of the list tomorrow with the names of the teams, which should race next year. Somebody ironically says: "Who knows what kind of list we'll see, I'm expecting the pinnacle of motorsports, technology and sports.."
