Badoer is the fastest at Barcelona

Circuit: Circuit de Catalunya, 4.728 km Driver: Luca Badoer, F 300 chassis 184 Weather: air temperature 11 C, track, 12 C, cloudy This was Scuderia Ferrari-Marlboro's first day of testing at the Catalunya circuit, near Barcelona.

Luca Badoer completed a total of 60 laps and set the fastest time of the day in 1m 24.19s. The Italian test driver was at the wheel of a F 300 fitted with 1999 Bridgestone tyres (four grooves also on the front tyres) and some new mechanical components which will be used in the next season's car.

Tomorrow, testing will continue with Michael Schumacher on the track.
