The FIA has set dates to hear the appeals of Toyota and BAR following decisions made at the San Marino Grand Prix. Toyota's Ralf Schumacher was given a 25 second time penalty for an incident involving the Williams of Nick Heidfeld, which lost Schumacher his eighth place.
Schumacher was penalised after the stewards decided he had blocked Heidfeld in the pit lane. The International Court of Appeal will hear Toyota's appeal on May 3rd in Paris and a decision is expected the following day.
Jenson Button's BAR was found to be underweight when drained of fuel after the race but the stewards decided to take no further action after hearing an explanation from the team. The FIA is appealing the ruling.
The case will be heard on May 4th and, again, a decision is expected the following day. Should the FIA win its appeal, BAR stands to lose Button's third place and the penalty could be even more severe, up to being excluded from the championship, depending on the circumstances.
