As usual it is difficult to make an accurate judgement of how much fuel the other cars are running. Michael is the only one of the top few runners to have used only one set of tyres for both sessions." Eddie Irvine: "I am cautiously optimistic after today as it was a good lap, but we don't know what the others were doing. The car is not quite as good as it was in last week's test here, so now we must work on the set-up. I have always had a good feeling about this race and that has been confirmed today. The car is well balanced, we made progress in last week's test and the tyres are going to be good for the race." Michael Schumacher: "I am quite happy with today's practice session. In general the car worked well. I had a little bit of oversteer, but it should be easy to cure. As I used only one set of tyres I could not do any better compared to the others. As expected, after the results of last week's test here, it seems that we can now close the gap to the front.
