All teams except Sauber will take to the track from tomorrow to work on the development of their cars, while Mercedes will also be in charge of carrying out testing work for Pirelli on its 2017 tyres with a 2014 car.
Pascal Wehrlein will be behind the wheel of the two-year-old W05 to focus solely on tyre work for the Italian manufacturer.
Meanwhile, Esteban Ocon will be driving for Mercedes in this year's car.
While the Renault tester drives for Mercedes, the French squad will use GP2 racer Sergey Sirotkin and Jolyon Palmer during the test.
Under current rules, two days of the four of in-season testing must be allocated to young driver training.
Ferrari will test young driver academy member Charles Leclerc on the opening day, after the Monegasque made his F1 practice debut with Haas last Friday at Silverstone.
Haas will run 18-year-old development driver Santino Ferrucci both days in what will be the American's maiden outing in F1 machinery.
Another teenager making his F1 debut will be Russian driver Nikita Mazepin, who will be in charge of driving duties for Force India.
Red Bull junior Sergio Sette Camara will also drive an F1 car for the first time when he tests for Toro Rosso on the second day of running.
Williams will run Valtteri Bottas and Alex Lynn, with Lynn first up on Tuesday before Bottas takes over on Wednesday.
Sauber decided to skip the Silverstone test after "considering cost effectiveness".
The test runs from 9:00am and 6:00pm.
