GERMAN GRAND PRIX - July 31st 1999 QUALIFYING

MARC GENE' Chassis 04 15th 12 laps time: 1:45,331 "We did an excellent job today. The car felt very well and I mainly concentrated to improve my lap times. I am very satisfied with the today's result. Here is my car and you can see it. Both our cars are now ahead of other singleseaters that were often in front of us in the course of the season. I also am very happy for the Team and I would like to thank all the lads because they did an excellent job and particularly my race engineer."

LUCA BADOER Chassis 01 19th 12 laps time: 1:45,917 "This is a troubled weekend for me: yesterday I lost my free practice session due to the engine failure and the today's spin made me waste further time. As a result, we couldn't fully concentrate on the set-up work and this affected also our performances during the qualifying session. Now we are working for the race, where we are usually better."

CESARE FIORIO: "That's a great satisfaction for the Team because the today's result is a reward to the technical staff for their job confirming the good performances carried out at Zeltweg. This is a clear sign that we are working in the right direction, both our drivers and the Team itself are getting more mature. We are therefore hopeful to do a good race tomorrow."
