Esteban Ocon, Sahara Force India F1 VJM10

Force India (Japanese Grand Prix, Suzuka)

It was a good show by their drivers Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez as they took the sixth and seventh places respectively.

They had qualified seventh and eighth, but started fifth and seventh due to grid penalties for the other drivers.

Perez and Ocon are seventh and eighth in the drivers’ standings with 82 and 65 points respectively. The team is fourth among the constructors with 147 points.

Arjun Maini (GP3 Series, Jerez)

It was a tough outing for Maini as he finished 17th in Race 1. But it was a better show in Race 2 as he managed the 12th place.

The Jenzer Motorsport driver did not have the best of times in the qualifying session either. He qualified 19th, the penultimate spot on the grid.

The 12th place in practice would have indicated he would have done better but it turned out to be a forgettable weekend for Maini.

However, this performance was a spot better than the retirement in the previous round in Monza.

Tarun Reddy (Euroformula Open, Jerez)

Reddy, driving for Drivex, had a modest outing with 13th and ninth places in the two races respectively.

In the two qualifying sessions, he had taken the 16th and 11th spots. He did slightly better in the Free Practice, but the overall weekend result could have been better.

He is currently 14th in the driver standings with 27 points.

Ameya Vaidyanathan (Euroformula Open, Jerez)

Vaidyanathan had a better outing in Jerez as he clinched the fourth spot in Race 1, but Race 2 was a disappointment as he finished 19th.

Overall, this could be considered a better result as he had collided with Reddy in the previous round in Monza.

The Carlin Motorsport driver had qualified fifth and eighth for the two races.

He is now fifth in the drivers’ championship with 131 points.

Ruhaan Alva (Easykart Grand Prix Finals, Castelletto di Branduzzo)

Alva took the fifth spot after starting the finals from the 10th spot.

Alva struggled for pace and was placed ninth in his group and 19th overall after the qualifying practice session.

He finished Heat 1 fifth, Heat 2 eighth and Heat 3 in the seventh place.

Alva had emerged as the second runner-up in the Easykart Italian Championship last month.

Prashanth Tharani (12 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps)

The Indian driver, competing for Zest Racecar Engineering, finished 164 laps and in 39th place in Part 2.

He partnered Macedonian driver Viktor Davidovski and drove the Seat Leon TCR car in this final round of the 24 Hour Endurance Touring Car Series.
