OLIVIER PANIS " We decided to go out late in the opening session because the track here is always so dirty. We completed our programme and worked on the set-up of the car with a view to preserving the tyres. I feel very good in the car and we succeeded in making progress every time we went out. I took the 12th fastest place and that is representative enough of what we are able to do without using more than one set of tyres since this morning. It is very encouraging for tomorrow and if we continue to make good progress with the set-up work, I am very confident for the rest of the weekend."

JARNO TRULLI " We have tried a certain number of mechanical and aerodynamic set-ups. In the second part of the session, my car was well-balanced; everything was perfect except for a differential problem which will be fixed tomorrow. At the exit of a corner, I touched a damp kerb which caused me to spin -- end of session. Tomorrow the most important thing will be to make a good choice with the tyres."

ALAIN PROST " The Hungaroring is a very technical circuit where it is difficult to go very fast. We have used the session to try different set-ups on our two cars. Jarno went off on a damp patch and that was a pity, but we did not have any other incidents. We completed our scheduled programme and we are conscious that it will be more difficult for us to have two cars in the top 10 on this type of circuit. We still have various things to try tomorrow morning."
