Jaguar not sold yet

There was a rumour in the paddock at Suzuka that Jaguar has been bought by Red Bull, but the team's managing director David Pitchforth denied that was the case. However, he was confident that a buyer will be found and Red Bull is one of the parties interested in Jaguar.

"We're nowhere near 99 percent sold because there's a process to go through and that involves banks, it involves lawyers," he said. "But all that's happening as quick as we can get it."

"Time is of the essence and there's a lot of good stuff going on, but there's no decision really. Obviously we already have a relationship with Red Bull and it's nice. There's a lot of good stuff going on but it's not over until it's over."

Mark Webber was forced to retire from the Japanese Grand Prix after an overheating problem in the cockpit. Christian Klien finished 12th but the team hopes for a better result in Brazil, the final race of the season and Jaguar's final race all together.

"It's been a bit of a roller-coaster ride of emotions," said head of vehicle performance Dr Mark Gillan after Suzuka. "But we know what we are capable of and we will travel to Brazil focused on the task ahead and upbeat about our potential as a team".

Whoever buys the team, presuming somebody does, has until November the 15th to submit an entry to the FIA for 2005.
