Jaguar Racing back in Spain

Some exciting new aerodynamic revisions are due to be track tested in Valencia this week

Jaguar Racing moves back to Valencia for a three-day test, starting tomorrow (Weds). The team are expected to roll out some major new aerodynamic modifications and Jaguar Racing.com will be there to report on progress. Other teams expected at the test are McLaren, Williams, Jordan, Sauber, Arrows and Prost.

Both Eddie Irvine and Pedro de la Rosa will be present, as will F3 pilot Andre Lotterer. After a stunning start and faultless drive in Austria, Eddie will doubtless be itching to get behind the wheel again, to see what Mark Handford has come up with. Jaguar Racing's chief aerodynamicist has been notable by his absence recently, while he has been locked away in a stateside wind tunnel.

Pedro de la Rosa will also be asking some tough questions about reliability, in addition to the necessary pursuit of more speed. The contemplative Spaniard knows the whole of Spain is watching, impatient for success, and is thus resolved to putting in a smooth drive and a solid finish, just as soon as is humanly possible.

It is not clear precisely what Lotterer's role will be this week but it makes sense for the team to give the youngster some track time, if he is to act in a testing capacity on a more regular basis.
