Kubica gets test with RenaultF1 team

Renault Sport confirmed that Robert Kubica will test the World Championship-winning R25 with the Renault F1 team in Barcelona, on December 2.

The 20 year-old Pole, who drives for the Epsilon Euskadi team, was recently crowned 2005 winner of the World Series Formula Renault 3.5 championship. The F1 test comes as a reward for his title, wrapped up at the penultimate race in Estoril.

The test is to take place at the Circuit of Catalunya (Spain) on December 2. Alongside Robert Kubica, who has dominated the Formula Renault 3.5 championship so far this year (4 victories, 11 podiums, 3 pole positions to date) will be Italian driver Giorgio Mondini, winner of the Eurocup Formula Renault V6 in 2004.

"This is a very important opportunity for me. It will be my first drive in a Formula 1 car and I hope it will be not the last! Of course this test comes as a prize for my title in the World Series by Renault, but I will be focusing on completing as many laps as possible".
