McLaren's Lando Norris has revealed a special helmet ahead of the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix, celebrating the work of contemporary artist Werner Bronkhorst alongside the driver's 150th Formula 1 start.
The design revolves around the 'Art in Motion' pop-up art-based experience that's heading to the Las Vegas Strip and is the result of a project between the championship leader and Bronkhorst. The LN x WB Concept Store at Wynn Las Vegas will be putting the helmet on show alongside a collection of Bronkhorst prints and a limited-run line of clothing.
It opened on the Tuesday ahead of the race weekend and closes on the Saturday, with it open to the public between 10am-10pm local time. Saturday sees it close a tad earlier at 7pm. The helmet will be on full display within the gallery.
Bronkhorst is known for strong colouring and heavy texture, and the helmet stands as a portrait of the McLaren ace and his career so far.
“This collaboration is about honoring a journey,” Bronkhorst said via a press release. “For Lando’s 150th, I wanted to commemorate those defining moments and small details of his first 149 races and weave them into one celebratory piece. The helmet becomes a portrait of Lando’s F1 career to date as he reaches 150.”
Norris, who enters the Las Vegas weekend with a 24-point lead over his team-mate Oscar Piastri, is proud of the work.
“Reaching 150 races is a very proud moment for me," he said. "I wanted to mark the road to this point with something unique, and collaborating with Werner on a helmet felt like the perfect way to illustrate the journey so far.”
The 22nd round of the F1 season takes place on Saturday this week as the year draws to a close with a triple-header. The temporary street circuit remains unchanged from last year, and while Vegas has historically been difficult for the papaya-coloured team, the Briton is excited for it to begin.
"Las Vegas up next! Driving down The Strip is quite a cool experience, and I’m looking forward to seeing all the fans in the US for the final time this season," he said.
“I’ve been doing a lot of preparation at MTC with the team for the final triple header. We go into Vegas having worked hard for a good haul of points in the last two races, showing strong pace in Mexico and Brazil.
“Vegas has been a challenging one for us in the past, but that doesn’t mean we won’t be trying our hardest to extract maximum performance from what’s available within the car. I’m feeling really good and motivated. I’m ready for this final push.”
