Race winner Lewis Hamilton, Mercedes AMG F1 celebrates on the podium

Photo by: Glenn Dunbar / Motorsport Images

A good start from third allowed Hamilton to menace the Ferraris, but he was squeezed onto the grass by Vettel then went off, forcing Verstappen to take to the grass as well, when the rear snapped on the approach to Turn 2. Thereafter, he executed his one-stopper beautifully to win despite carrying floor damage from lap one.

Verdict: Did what he could in qualifying then battled back from a fraught start to control the race under pressure from Vettel beautifully. 10/10
