Comments from the MF1 team after the third day of testing at Silverstone
Dominic Harlow, Chief Race and Test Engineer:
"Giorgio Mondini kicked off the final day of our test today, looking at some fundamental studies for our Vehicle Science department. We ran the Canada aero package in advance of next weekend's race and were pleased to find it performed as expected."
"Christijan Albers took over the car mid-morning and quickly settled into a tyre programme for Bridgestone, while also getting an early taste of the Canada setup. We also tested some new brake components aimed at the notoriously tough-on-brakes Gilles Villeneuve circuit."
Christijan Albers:
"I think we had a reasonable day and I was fairly satisfied with our performance. The test has been a productive mix of reliability, development and setup work. The data we have collected will prove useful over the coming double-header events in North America until we can test again in week 27."
Giorgio Mondini:
"This was a great way to finish off the test. We learned a lot about the new aero package and I was able to record my best times at this circuit, so I'm pleased about that. But the important thing is that the team as a whole is continuing to make progress, which motivates everyone to keep pushing hard for the remainder of the season."
