Midland F1 driver Tiago Monteiro has been finalising his preparations for the German Grand Prix with a final test session before the F1 summer break. Midland travelled to Jerez last week for a three-day test (19-21 July) and Monteiro was at the wheel of the second day covering over 330km.

Monteiro comments, "I'm looking forward to Hockenheim as I like the atmosphere at the circuit. It's probably the best in the world, especially for the spectators in the stadium section. You can't escape it as a driver and I'm hoping there will be plenty of fans there, even if most of them will be cheering for the German driver."

"It's likely to be a very hot race and will be tough on the tyres and the drivers if we see temperatures like in Magny-Cours again. We've been working hard with Bridgestone on the tyre front and I'm feeling confident on that front for this weekend."

"We had a positive test at Jerez last week and worked on a number of updates, especially with the suspension. We ran a major tyre programme too in preparation for the next three days and found some good aero improvements which will hopefully help us in the next few races."
