There's been no shortage of meetings in F1 this season, although the off-track kind tends to have less success than race meetings, and there's more to come yet. Max Mosley cancelled a meeting with the drivers at Silverstone after he took a dim view of comments made by Red Bull's David Coulthard but has since rescheduled.

The FIA President has invited drivers to meet with him in Cannes on August 1st to discuss matters such as safety issues and the proposed new regulations. However, at them moment its uncertain how many drivers may actually attend. Coulthard would rather have had Mosley come to them than the other way round.

"Clearly it's easier to get one man to a group than a group to one man, but that's what he's offered us and we will endeavour to make that meeting," said the Scot. "We only wanted one FIA president to come to our meeting and that was difficult to achieve, so time will tell whether we can get more than half the super licence holders there."

For the immediate future, there is a meeting planned this week between Mosley and team principals Ron Dennis (McLaren) and Christian Horner (Red Bull). There have been several theories in regard to what this meeting may be about but nobody involved is willing to comment, so we'll just have to wait and see.
