The President of the FIA (Fédération Internationale Automobile) Max Mosley discovered on Friday July 19th the new Paul Ricard - High Tech Test Track, in Le Castellet in the South of France.
Philippe Gurdjian, President and CEO of Excelis, the company behind the circuit and the airport, welcomed Max Mosley at the Castellet Airport - international first class business airport, situated at the circuit's edge. They continued to a detailed visit of the new circuit during which the President of the FIA was able to appreciate the value and outstanding work done by Philippe Gurdjian in this beautiful area in the South of France. The visit was topped off with a lunch at the Hôtel du Castellet ****Luxe.
Overwhelmed by the excellence and the high technology, the detail, seriousness and quality developed throughout the complexe, the President of the FIA was led to believe that this circuit will stand as a model for future world circuits.
"This is much more impressive than anything I could have ever imagined," said the FIA President. "One truly has the feeling of entering into the future, where everything is guided by technology. With the work done on the Paul Ricard - High Tech Test Track, Philippe Gurdjian has reached the summit in terms of safety, logistics and technology."
"The medical centre is extraordinary and the technology involved on the circuit is clearly beyond anything that currently exists. This test track will be an asset for the world of motor sports. With the construction of two hotels and the renovation of the airport at close proximity, the teams will definitely have everything necessary to carry out tests in the best conditions."
"This new tool will and must become THE reference and model for the motor sports race tracks in the world," concluded Max Mosley.
