MIAMI (March 29, 2016) -- Motorsport.com today announced that it has extended its exclusive North American rights agreement for the popular online Formula 1 video magazine program, “Inside Grand Prix” (IGP).

“Motorsport.com continues to be one of the most highly sought after digital media partners in the world,” said Scott Sebastian, vice-president of public relations and marketing, Motorsport.com. “Extending our exclusive North American digital rights of IGP programming leverages the strong interest for Formula 1 content in the US market, while showcasing the power of our digital media platform.”

In association with RTV Film & Television, Inside Grand Prix presented by Motorsport.com takes viewers inside the world of Formula 1 racing prior to each Grand Prix. Featuring exclusive interviews, innovative animations and upcoming race previews for the most popular racing teams in the world, Inside Grand Prix showcases the sport’s star names and big players.

“We are excited to extend our North American digital rights agreement with the premier auto racing website in the world, Motorsport.com,” said Gregor Glassman, Head of Business Development, RTV GmbH. “North America is a critical market for digital distribution of ‘Inside Grand Prix’ and Motorsport.com is the only digital media partner we considered for such a strategic partnership.”

Motorsport.com, the most-viewed independent motorsports digital media platform in the world, will host the 26-minute programs before every F1 Grand Prix in HD and available on Motorsport.tv.

Today’s announcement furthers the company’s strategic approach in housing the largest motorsports video library, while executing content partnerships with race series and online media companies including World Endurance Championship (WEC), Vice Sports, MSN, and AOL’s Autoblog.

Programming for Inside Grand Prix is already online, with the preview to this weekend’s 2016 Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Sakhir available on Motorsport.com.
