Featured photo – Lance Stroll celebrates his first points with fans
Money can buy you a lot of things in life but your first podium in Formula 1 is not something you can pay your way into. Lance Stroll has certainly not been one of the most easily accepted rookies in F1 history, many thought he was just another journeyman and will disappear in a few years.
His rookie season has indeed not been easy at times – a problem here, a crash there – but when staying out of trouble really mattered, the young Canadian passed his biggest test yet with flying colours.
Stroll will not need a photo to remember what he achieved at the 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix as he will remember it for the rest of his life.
And scoring a point in his first-ever home Grand Prix, the celebrations over which are captured here, will also live long in all Canadian fans' memories.
